💧💧💧💧 Klartraum Liquid Dreams II - Album Story 💧💧💧💧

Klartraum Liquid Dreams II – Album Story: "When the inquiry landed in my inbox about rewiring Reason to Ableton Live, I instantly recognized the seriousness of this woman," reminisces Helmut Ebritsch.
In 2005, Nadja Lind and Helmut crossed paths on an online forum for electronic music producers. "Given his exceptional productions, I directed my technical question to 'Screech' (Helmut's moniker)," Nadja recalls. "Our musical companionship took off from there," adds Helmut.
Nadja further shares, "During my visits to Berlin, I always made sure to stop by Helmut's rooftop studio in Neukölln to collaborate on music. Our musical synergy remained intact over time." As fate would have it, Nadja relocated to the German capital later that year, solidifying their collaborations.
Their inaugural record, the Klartraum EP, was released on vinyl in 2006 on Night Drive Music, marking the birth of their Klartraum project.
Subsequently, the duo began performing live in Berlin, including memorable shows at the renowned Chaos Computer Camp which were nothing short of chaotic.
Through these live performances, they experienced a transformative breakthrough, shaping their approach to music production. Embracing the value of improvisation, they abandoned the conventional method of premeditated creation and instead carried out the entire process on the fly, from sound design to mixing. Synchronized via two independent workstations and hardware, they embarked on a continuous flow, starting from a blank canvas and culminating in a finished piece. "After all, improvisation is the original 'Jamaican Dub' way of arranging," emphasizes Helmut.
- More than 15 years later and praise from top artists such as John Digweed, Guy J, Robert Babicz, Peter Kruder, and Maceo Plex, the duo is ready to release their second ambient album, Liquid Dreams II. ¨This year in 2023, we’ve hit a milestone of releasing more than 300 EPs by a wide range of artists on our record label Lucidflow.
We felt this special occasion was the perfect time to release our follow up "Liquid Dreams II" album that is very distinct from our usual deep, dubby and club oriented sound. This time around we decided to turn our hands to chill and ambient strains including making ambient versions of some of our previous material. We call them 'liquid' versions as they are focused more on downtempo interpretations ranging from dub to lounge, ambient and binaural brain entrainment like alpha, theta and delta waves.¨ Klartraum (translation: lucid dream) embodies the finest multidimensional electronic music in the essence of a virtuoso session and live performance.

Surrender to the transcendent allure of this visionary journey, where the boundaries of perception dissolve, and the future unfolds in harmonious splendor, showcasing Klartraum's unparalleled artistry at the forefront of musical innovation.

Liquid Dreams II:
1. "Time Worm", a captivating 13-minute composition that bridges the gap between ethereal harmonies and rhythmic intensity. It begins softly, with intricate melodies and ambient effects creating a delicate soundscape that mirrors the serenity of deep space. Yet, this tranquility is gradually transformed into a robust, tribal-like beat, evoking a relentless march through the unfathomable corridors of time and space.

2. “Sonic Serenity” is a 19.5-minute aural journey that intertwines layers of sublime sounds and meticulously crafted effects. A series of breathtaking breaks punctuate the soundscape, each one a moment of suspended animation that sends chills down the spine. These pause points are deftly resolved, each one unfolding into a new universe of tender, butter-soft chord progressions, casting the listener adrift on waves of sound that blur the boundaries of sensory perception. This magnum opus is a testament to the transformative power of music, painting vivid scenes of unearthly beauty with each meticulously crafted note.

3. "Unified Field" is Klartraum's audial articulation of the quantum Field of Possibilities before it shapes into tangible reality. This composition weaves a stunning melody that gradually gives way to distant echoes of reggae dub guitar, an aural metaphor for the convergence of potential into form. It's a sonic journey from the abstract to the palpable, framed in the unique language of Klartraum's music.

4. "Biosphere Dawn" (has been excl. released on Bandcamp klartraum.bandcamp.com/album/klartraum-biosphere-dawn-excl-bandcamp-version ) , a nearly 20-minute auditory marvel by Klartraum, weaves an enchanting tale around a mystical campfire. Envision an open-air symphony where every creature contributes its unique voice: the chirping of insects, the howling of wolves, and the hooting of owls. In this immersive soundscape, rhythm becomes a primal language, an elemental dance that bridges the gap between human and nature. Experience Klartraum's signature mastery, as they artfully blend these raw, natural sounds into an epic sonic dance that truly embodies the awakening of the biosphere at dawn.

5. "Aliens Built the Pyramids" When the enigma of the pyramids' construction stirs your curiosity, Klartraum duo offers a melodious response with their tribal-infused downtempo epic, "Aliens Built the Pyramids." This composition is their musical hypothesis, a journey through sound that tells a story of extraterrestrial architects. Each beat and harmony is a hieroglyph, a piece of the puzzle, unraveling the mystery in Klartraum's characteristic style. The track invites listeners to embark on an auditory 19 minutes long exploration of ancient wonders and cosmic conjecture, shrouded in the timeless allure of tribal rhythms.

6. 'The Dive' is a majestic, 19-minute ambient journey that weaves epic proportions into an audial tapestry. This masterfully crafted composition transports listeners into the depths of expansive soundscapes, provoking profound introspection and ethereal immersion."

7. "What I Am (liquid edit)" is an epic downtempo reimagining of the original, highlighting a woman's transcendent narration of her therapeutic LSD experience. This immersive journey is filled with her revelation of visualizing every molecule, culminating in the profound acceptance of self, as she declares, "I am what I am".

8. "Interwelt," a colossal composition by Klartraum, defies pace and perception with its masterful execution. Despite its slow tempo, the track brims with a sense of urgency due to the resonating double kick. This sonic journey acts as a bridge, linking two worlds and inviting listeners on a profound voyage through interconnected realities.

9. "Edge Of The Cycle" is an ambient drone composition by Klartraum, tinged with darker hues and underscored by creaking tones. It narrates the intricate paradoxes of life through its haunting melodies and pulsating undertones, each note a poignant chapter in the cyclical narrative we all inhabit.

10. "World Sync" (was exclusively released on Bandcamp klartraum.bandcamp.com/album/klartraum-world-sync-bandcamp-excl ) is a standout downtempo track by Klartraum, harmoniously blending a mesmerizing melody with a compelling broken beat. It tells a captivating story of Earth's energetic fields finding synchronicity through meditation and action, sonically painting a portrait of unity and universal harmony.

11. "Helly Larson - Spiritual Life (Klartraum Liquid Remix) "Spiritual Life," a mesmerizing track by Helly Larson, gracefully finds its place within the enchanting album "Liquid Dreams II" by Klartraum. Like liquid light, its shimmering notes weave a tapestry of introspection, honoring Helly's artistry that remains as his ethereal gift to us. With delicate rhythms and evocative melodies, this composition invites us to embark on a transcendental journey, exploring the depths of our spirituality. Through its timeless resonance, "Spiritual Life" encapsulates the enduring beauty and profound connection that music holds, reminding us to embrace our inner selves and embark on our own spiritual quests, guided by Helly's radiant legacy.

12. "Draw the Line" springs from the vibrant minds of Klartraum's Nadja and Helmut, their explorations into the realms of artificial intelligence, and debates around the distinction - if any - between analog and digital worlds. The track serves as an audial tapestry reflecting these philosophical discussions, juxtaposing nostalgic retro elements with forward-leaning soundscape design. Within this opus, you'll find amusingly vintage sounds and noises ingeniously interwoven into an epic composition that challenges preconceived notions about technology and nostalgia. This balance of past and future, the tangible and the abstract, showcases Klartraum's signature blend of thought-provoking themes and evocative musicianship. A song that is not just to be heard, but experienced and pondered, "Draw the Line" asks listeners to question their own understanding of the boundaries we draw in our world.
